About Dr. Kraft
Dr. Robert L. Kraft is a board-certified plastic surgeon with East Bay Dermatology & Plastic Surgery. His career spans more than 40 years of operative experience, hospital leadership, academic teaching, and recognition as one of New York’s most respected plastic surgeons.
A graduate of Columbia College — where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and graduated magna cum laude — Dr. Kraft earned his medical degree from Yale University School of Medicine. He completed both his general surgery residency and plastic surgery residency at Montefiore Medical Center–Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where he served as Chief Resident in Plastic Surgery during his final year of training.
Beyond his clinical work, Dr. Kraft has dedicated significant time to advancing the field through teaching and professional leadership. He served as Clinical Instructor in Plastic Surgery at Albert Einstein College of Medicine for six years and as Chief of Plastic Surgery at LaGuardia Hospital. He was also elected President of the Medical Society of the County of Queens, serving from May 2013 to May 2014.
