How do I know it's eczema and not something else?

Eczema is easy to mistake for psoriasis, fungal infections, or allergic reactions, and treating the wrong condition can make skin worse. A dermatologist can usually identify eczema from its pattern and appearance, and can perform testing when the diagnosis isn't clear-cut.

Do you treat babies and children with eczema?

Yes. Atopic dermatitis often begins in infancy or early childhood, and we treat patients of all ages. Pediatric plans emphasize gentle, age-appropriate therapies and give parents a clear routine for managing flares at home.

Where do Merrick patients go for their appointments?

Our office is at 2307 Bellmore Avenue, Unit B in Bellmore, a short drive from Merrick. Patients come to us from Merrick and across southern Nassau County.

How long does it take for eczema treatment to work?

Many patients notice less itching within the first one to two weeks of starting a prescription regimen, though calming a severe or long-standing flare can take longer. Consistent follow-up lets us adjust quickly if your skin isn't improving on schedule.
